Humble Beginnings
Chantel Chavon, a Chicago native, is refreshingly enthusiastic about any opportunities she has to perform. Growing up as an only child, Chantel was deeply inspired by the performing arts. She first took center stage at the tender age of three. She started by taking intense dance lessons with a focus on Ballet, Tap, and Jazz styles. Shortly after, she began acting in numerous school productions, including a leading role as "Addy" in the dramatic American-Girl play, "Addy-The Runaway Slave."
Deeply Disciplined
Chantel started her training by intensely studying adult drama at the ETA Creative Arts Foundation, Inc., located in Chicago, IL. While there, she was taught how to use the Stanislavsky Acting Technique in order to tune in to her imagination and sensitivity. Shortly after completing this course, Chantel studied comedic improvisation and body movement at Comedy Sportz Theatre. She is currently studying on-camera commercial and tv/film techniques at The Green Room.
Experiencing Tunnel Vision
In the summer of 2012, Chantel completed her studies at Purdue University Calumet and earned a degree in Public Relations. She thoroughly enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. Some of her hobbies include writing, bowling, and beating all the guys at Texas Hold 'Em Poker. But her favorite past time continues to be performing and entertaining.
